WHAT THE CHAMBER DO FOR ME?

Sometimes you may be asked, “What does the Chamber do for me?”   You need to be knowledgeable on what we do for you, so you know where your Chamber Membership dollar is going.

We are organized on your behalf. We distribute and mail out numerous publications about this community and in many listing what your business has to offer. In addition, we have our website where you are listed and general information given about the company and your website linked if you have one. Both of the later two, help customers find YOU. It is not our job to sell your customers on your product; that is YOUR JOB by treating your customers with knowledge and friendliness and having your businesses neat in appearance. It is our job to direct potential customers to your door. We enjoy that!

We also have three billboards out on I-10 bringing people off the interstate into our community. We refer the call-ins, walk-ins and email customers your way.

And we have events and promotions that draw people to town. The Chamber promotes and organizes Gedenke!, the Antique Appraisal Affair, tours for travel groups, the Parade of Quilts and Kites in Flight and now Down Home Christmas. Also promoted are the church picnics and other community events that are held by various organizations.

And don’t forget about our electronic board that is used as a service to our citizens and visitors.

All of this is done as a part-time operation and you benefit tremendously with the lowest fee for dues in the area.

You might suggest, or consider for yourself, that individuals get more involved and volunteer so they can enjoy the rewards of giving back to their community and the mighty transformation of our Quaint German Town into a thriving tourist destination.
